		<description>I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa Alix.  I also get irritated by the unseasonal fruit plates and cookie platters that show up at so many Jewish organizational meetings.  When did that become the standard?

Although I can't offer any suggestions about Italian restaurants that embarass themselves by serving out-of-season tomatoes (seriously, if anyone should know better...) - but The Jew &#38; The Carrot offers some alternative ideas to the unseasonal fruit platter
