Its hard to believe, but this month, The Jew & The Carrot is turning 2 years old! It’s been amazing to watch this online community of Jewish food enthusiasts grow over the last couple of years. We’ve been through a lot together, and have so appreciated your ongoing passion, wisdom, and commitment to creating a healthier and more sustainable Jewish community.
Now, you can help The Jew & The Carrot celebrate our big milestone by baking us a birthday cake! And of course, we have a little birthday gift for you. Find out all the details below the jump…
Contest Details: Bake us a beautiful and sustainably-delicious cake for our second birthday. Get as creative as you’d like, and let your eco-savvy kitchen skills shine through.
Send us your recipe and a picture of your stellar baked creation to editor @ jcarrot.org by Friday, Dec 19. Don’t forget to include information about who you are! (If you want to send us a piece of the *actual cake* too, we won’t complain, but it’s not required!)
Our First Place winner will receive a copy of Going Wild in the Kitchen, the fresh new cookbook by Leslie Cerier.
The top three recipes and photos will be featured (with much fanfare) on The Jew & The Carrot.
So get baking and help us toast to the next two years, and beyond! In the meantime, here are a couple of “oldie but goodie” cake-related posts to get you started:

Happy birthday and my husband thanks you for the gift of your birthday cake that I’ll be baking!!
Does this mean that J-Carrot is going to start throwing fits and tantrums every time it doesn’t get its way? Or was that just my two-year-old? :-)
