I just tried some of this dessert hummus today at the fram stand in Downtown Boston and I LOVE IT. It was so good I bought a tub and I intend to buy another tomorrow.

While the Maple walnut one was a bit overly sweet, I still liked it. The one I purchased was the peanut butter one which to me tastes just like peanut butter without all the calories of peanut butter.

I give it 2 thumbs up!

I tried some free samples at the Big E in Massachusetts (they were set up in the New Hampshire exhibit) and while it's not bad....you're right, it isn't hummus. Something about calling desert hummus is just so wrong...it reminds me more of flavored peanut butter anyway....and for the most part I found it sickly sweet...maybe because my palate was prepared for hummus and got cheated...

I created the dessert hummus and I make it. All I can say is there are no rules in the kitchen! Try it before you say yuk to it. You can also see reviews in Self magazine, hungry girl and coming in Jan. a feature in Womens health magazine. There are many blogs with reviews as well. These taste nothing like traditional hummus yet are 95% chick pea. Go to desserthummus.com for more information or to order. It won't be long before it's in a store near you. Thanks Chuck Fed By Chuck and Co. LLC 603-841-5787
