My kids and I have a porch garden at our apartment. We take all the produce we grow down to a local food shelter to help them supplement their meals with somethign fresh.

I am signed up to give $20 each month to my local food bank. It is a small portion of my monthly food budget. And, because it is automatically charged to my credit card, I don’t have to think about it. Also, it’s a steady source of income the food bank can rely on. If they have many individuals contributing a small amount each month, it can add up.
