A new kosher cooking school is open in Flatbush, Brooklyn: The Center for Kosher Culinary Art. It’s a shame it’s right next door to De Fara’s Pizza, the best Slow Food pizzeria in the city! (JTA)

I’m sure you’ve seen it, but the East Village Mamele considers the “I can’t seem to be kosher and ethical simultaneously” divide.

I haven’t yet seen the Sandler movie, but I’m very excited to watch the “hummus scene.”

Di Fara is, indeed, the best pizza in the known universe. It’s the answer to the question, “It’s only pizza, how good could it really be?”

My wife (a Brooklyn ex-pat) and I regularly drive over an hour from Long Island, in traffic, to wait in the cramped, un-airconditioned restaurant with two hungry toddlers, for our little slices of heaven. And it’s always. Worth it.
