This reminds me of my youngest brother, who became a vegetarian many years ago, but had misgivings the following November when everyone around the table was enjoying the turkey as a central element of the family's Thanksgiving celebration. He decided at that time to eat turkey every Thanksgiving in order to fully participate in the holiday. Now, whenever you ask him how long he's been a vegetarian, he says "since last Thanksgiving!" We all have our compromises... Alix, Great post!
