My friends, little if anything has changed. Our work is only at the the first step of the beginning. Our worst enemy now is not the meat industry but 'compassion fatigue' of our fellow Jews and the fear of mesirah some of us mistakenly allow ourselves. Prevail for we will win this battle and we will win the war.

Kol hakavod to these investigators for getting the video footage that has helped bring about real changes. It's been essential in terms of trying to reduce tsa'ar ba'alei chayim (unnecessary animal suffering) in the kosher meat industry.

Without the footage of conscious cows having their tracheas ripped out (AgriProcessors) and of shackling and hoisting (at a Uruguayan slaughterhouse), the worst abuses would still be continuing without any pressure on the OU or the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, respectively, to stop them.
