Jewish cookbooks have been published in Warsaw in Polish " Kuchnia Koszerna" (translated from Rebekka Wolf's German edition) in 1904, an illustrated Yiddish "Di Idisze Kukh" in 1930 Warsaw by B.Szafran (strongly resembles the 1929 Paris edition by Suzanne Roukhomovsky, and a colorful vegetarian Yiddish cookbook " Vegetarishe Dietishe Kokhbukh" by Fania Lewando in Vilna 1938.The author owned a vegetarian restaurant in Vilna amonger her customers were Itzik Manger and Marc Chagal who left testimonials in the cookbook.
