Could some one explain or interpret for me what (if at all) is the connection between these fraud charges, and what appeared to be Sholom Rubashkin and Agriprocessor's unethical treatment of his workers and the animals at the plant? I understand that he will be tried specifically for the immigration law violations shortly, but how can the bank fraud convictions be construed as condemnation of his unethical treatment of people and animals?
